Providence, RI/LWW Press/May 14, 2012 – –Lisa Solano-Sanchez, Emergency Housing Specialist with the Rhode Island Housing, an organization which strives to ensure that all people who live or work in Rhode Island can afford a healthy, attractive home that meets their needs, was selected for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Latino American Who’s Who.
Rhode Island Housing is a self-sustaining public agency, which generates its own operating income, without state funding. They were formed by the State Legislature to tackle Rhode Island’s widespread, critical housing issues. Rhode Island Housing has earned thirteen national housing awards for their innovative and effective programs.
Lisa Solano-Sanchez is very passionate about her profession and has been a liaison to healthcare providers, community and state agencies. She has provided services as a case manager to the homeless with mental disabilities and substance problems. Her responsibilities in helping the under-privileged are enormous, but she gives 110% at all times. She received a Certificate of Recognition from the Rhode Island Department of Health in 2011.
Lisa has served with RI Hospital with the Families First CEDARR program as a Family Service Coordinator and at the Urban League of RI as a case manager. She is currently on the FCCA’s Advisory Board for the Family Care Community Partnership and on the BTS ( Back to School) steering committee. Both the board and committee work to strengthen, empower, and enrich our youth.
Lisa has a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Spanish from Rhode Island College.
The Latino American Who’s Who is a New York based biographical publication that selects and distinguishes leading Latino professionals throughout the world who have attained a recognizable degree of success in their field of endeavor and thereby contribute to the growth of their industry and culture. The Latino Who’s Who promotes an awareness of the achievements of the Latino professional and executive by creating a networking platform to provide recognition of individual accomplishments.
