The Latino American Who’s Who Recognizes Brian Lima

Austin, TX/LWW Press/June 18, 2012 – –Brian Lima,  Cardiothoracic Surgeon, of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeons (CTVS), was selected for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Latino American Who’s Who.

Dr. Brian Lima is the Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellow of The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the Chief Resident, General Surgery of Duke University Medical Center in 2008/2009. From 2006-2008 he was the Senior Assistant Resident, General Surgery and from 2004-2006 he was the Cardiac Surgery Research Fellow, Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery, of Duke University Medical Center. He also has written numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed publications in the areas of Cardiac Surgery and Transplantation.

Dr. Brian Lima has awards for 2011 Best Clinical Paper, Annual Research Day, 2011 Highest Score on TSDA In-Training Exam, and the 2010 Highest Score on TSDA In-Training Exam from Cleveland Clinic. He also received the 2009 Duke Surgery Resident Research Award. He is a Candidate Member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and belongs to the Sabiston Surgical Society.

Dr. Brian Lima has a M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina and a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in Chemistry from the College of Arts and Sciences from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

The Latino American Who’s Who is a New York based biographical publication that selects and distinguishes leading Latino professionals throughout the world who have attained a recognizable degree of success in their field of endeavor and thereby contribute to the growth of their industry and culture.  The Latino Who’s Who promotes an awareness of the achievements of the Latino professional and executive by creating a networking platform to provide recognition of individual accomplishments.
