The Latino American Who’s Who Recognizes Christina Dilia Guillén M.D.

Brooklyn, NY/LWW Press/May 14, 2012 – –Christina Dilia Guillén, M.D.,  Pediatrician with Downstate Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading urban medical centers, was selected for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Latino American Who’s Who.

SUNY Downstate Medical Center is comprised of a College of Medicine, College of Health Related Professions, College of Nursing, School of Graduate Studies, School of Public Health and University Hospital of Brooklyn.

Dr. Christina Guillén earned her M.D. degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, her Master’s degree in Biology at City College and her B.S. in Psychology at SUNY Stony Brook University. Dr. Guillen completed her Pediatric residency training and was a Pediatric Chief Resident at Downstate Medical Center.

Dr. Guillén specializes in general pediatrics and child abuse, and holds the title of Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Pediatric Associate Program Director and Child Abuse Specialist. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the Association of Pediatric Program Directors.

Her interest in child advocacy started when she was a resident and has continued throughout her career. As a faculty member, she is actively involved in resident training and education. Dr. Guillén works closely with the College of Medicine where she teaches and mentors medical students as well as serving on numerous committees. Her secret to her success is her passion for her profession.

The Latino American Who’s Who is a New York based biographical publication that selects and distinguishes leading Latino professionals throughout the world who have attained a recognizable degree of success in their field of endeavor and thereby contribute to the growth of their industry and culture.  The Latino Who’s Who promotes an awareness of the achievements of the Latino professional and executive by creating a networking platform to provide recognition of individual accomplishments.
